Native to Madagascar, lemurs are small, social primates that can weigh up to 9kg. Their name derives from the lemurs which, in Roman mythology were ghosts or spirits, because of their vocalizations, their eyes which reflect the light and their nocturnal habits. The lemur mainly consumes fruits and leaves, however, this diet can vary from one species to another.
